DESCRIPTION

The Adtron™ SDDS Cardpak™ storage subsystem is a removable SCSI PC card drive that connects to the SCSI Bus, delivering high transfer rates, industry standard SCSI compatibility and PC card hot swapping. Specifically designed for demanding applications in telecommunications, military computers, digital imaging, data security and ruggedized data storage, the Adtron SDDS PC Card Drive brings high performance and PCMCIA compatibility to desktop, workstation and notebook computers through the industry-standard SCSI interface.

Adtron Cardpak solid-state data drives meet removable media requirements in a wide range of applications. The Adtron SDDS suits the needs of mission critical and data transfer in military aircraft, image transfers from a professional class digital camera to a graphics workstation, SCSI hard disk replacement in embedded computers and data encryption using Fortezza security cards.

The SDDS drive includes single and dual slot versions which mount in a 3.5-inch floppy drive bay and may be configured to emulate a removable disk, a fixed disk, or a removable tape drive. With the use of ATA flash PC cards, the SDDS provides the durability and reliability of all solid state, removable storage in extended temperature ranges. Adtron also offers SCSI connected PC card drives in the storage subsystems on 6U VME cards, single slot external desktop and cPCI 6U cards.
